I was stumbling through the internet via Stumbleupon (have you tried it? You really should if you like to find random stuff!) and I came across a post of advice from a 90 year old.

 

There are 45 brilliant life lessons, so I chose a few to share with you…

 

 

When you think about it, it’s true, isn’t it?

 

 

Of course, some things possibly will still matter in five years, but most will not. Bear that in mind when things don’t go the way you expected.

 

 

I like this one! Try not to care what others think of you – it’s just their opinion.

OK I’m gonna admit I haven’t read the rest of the life lessons, but a quote from Maya Angelou is something I’d add in:

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

It’s something that’s been a guiding force for me throughout the years… along with this one:

“Be a rainbow in somebody else’s cloud.” ❤️

I didn’t get on with Stumbleupon but perhaps I was doing it wrong which is entirely possible! I use the phrase “We don’t go the quickest route, we go the scenic route” often to describe our autism life. It’s a pretty way of looking at it 😁.
