If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you might have noticed that there was no ‘Weekly Weigh In’ post last week. Because I completely gave up. I’d been unwell and couldn’t face eating loads of fruit, veg and salad when all I wanted was toast, biscuits and crisps, and I crumbled. (Mmmmm, crumble!).
I decided to give myself a few weeks off and go back to Slimming World once I was in the right frame of mind again.
But, this week I’ve felt bloody awful. I’ve been tired, sluggish and felt generally rubbish.
So, I’m getting back on the wagon. I haven’t quite decided which group to go to; I like the evening group, but I hate weighing in the evening as I spend all day hangry; I like weighing first thing, but don’t like the Monday morning group. Or do I try a completely different group on a Tuesday morning in the hope that I feel comfortable enough to stay once I’ve been weighed? Decisions, decisions…
I came up with this little mantra to bear in mind when things feel a bit tricky. It doesn’t just apply to losing weight, but to any kind of challenging situation, I guess. Try not to think about the future, but stay in the present and focus on that – it will seem more achievable!
