The Monday Motivation Linky #6 – Getting Back on the Wagon

Kel Monday Motivation Linky 13 Comments

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you might have noticed that there was no ‘Weekly Weigh In’ post last week. Because I completely gave up. I’d been unwell and couldn’t face eating loads of fruit, veg and salad when all I wanted was toast, biscuits and crisps, and I crumbled. (Mmmmm, crumble!).

I decided to give myself a few weeks off and go back to Slimming World once I was in the right frame of mind again.

But, this week I’ve felt bloody awful. I’ve been tired, sluggish and felt generally rubbish.

So, I’m getting back on the wagon. I haven’t quite decided which group to go to; I like the evening group, but I hate weighing in the evening as I spend all day hangry; I like weighing first thing, but don’t like the Monday morning group. Or do I try a completely different group on a Tuesday morning in the hope that I feel comfortable enough to stay once I’ve been weighed? Decisions, decisions…

I came up with this little mantra to bear in mind when things feel a bit tricky. It doesn’t just apply to losing weight, but to any kind of challenging situation, I guess. Try not to think about the future, but stay in the present and focus on that – it will seem more achievable!

On to the linky. This week, Debs is hosting over at Chaos in Kent, so please do pop over and take a look at her post.

You can, if you like, also add your own post to the linky here. I can’t wait to read more fab, inspiring posts from some brilliant writers!

Well done for focussing on you when you weren’t well. There’s a lot to be said for eating well and the right stuff when you’re poorly but also for letting go a bit makes you feel better too! It’s called a wallow! Thanks for hosting #TheMMLinky

Oh good luck with that, there’s enough to stress about in life without having to worry about what you eat and how much you weigh too! #TheMMLinky PS I couldn’t find the linkt badge code this week, where should I be looking? Thanks 🙂

Love this, definitely something I need to bear in mind right now (she says, sitting typing in her pyjamas still…)!

You never realise just how much your diet can make you feel better or worse. Good luck in finding a new class. x

Try a new group, you never know unless you try x

Taking it one day at a time is really good advice, I’m with you…although you have got me thinking about crumble now x

Good luck, don’t put it off by dithering over which class to go, just choose one and go. Remember – Gethin!
