This week, I give you a photo of my certificate and 1 stone shiny sticker!
At the start of the year, I made a conscious decision to turn my poor health around and make a real effort to lose weight. It lasted about three weeks and then I was poorly, and it all went out of the window. I piled on even more weight, pushing myself from ‘very overweight’ to ‘obese’ and began to feel even worse than I did before.
Something had to give, so I decided that going it alone just doesn’t work for me; I need the structure and support of a club. You can read here about my false-start with Weight Watchers before I finally settled on Slimming World – again.
That was at the start of June. In total, I have lost 19lbs, but four of that was the Weight Watchers week. I feel so much better already. My clothes are looser, I have a sort of waist again and I feel lighter. But, more importantly, I feel so much better about myself. Healthier, more energy (well, a little – lack of quality sleep is still eluding me!) and clearer in my mind than I felt before.
I know that plans like Slimming World are not for everyone, as I read in another blogger’s post and subsequent comments this week (erm, ouch!), but it works for me and that’s all I care about!
